This was good. Like lick the plate clean good. Like lick the kitchen counter good. Like pushing the Mr. out of the way and eating his, then running to the kitchen and snarfing the leftovers before he can good.
I also made roasted green beans with lemon olive oil and sea salt, but didn't take a picture- sorry.
Trouble tried to help me with dinner, but his lack of thumbs and propensity for shedding made it somewhat difficult.

Happy Monday, my succulent morsels of mayonnaise-coated cat food. Happy Monday.
XO

Your fridge kinda looks like mine - I also have a cut in half lime on the top shelf and those damn door compartments that won't keep the condiments from flying out and crashing to the floor.
PS - my mystery word below is "untog," which I will definitely try to use in conversation today.
Nothing wrong with a little vin du box from time to time. Those grits look fantastic.
I thought I lived in the grits capital of the world, but I ain't never seen no grits look THAT fancy! I'm literally drooling.
Also, I love the intense look on the face of Fridge Cat.
Well, I could kiss your grits, but I'd rather attack them with a fork.
Okay by you?
I love grits. I also love wine. And the fact that it's boxed just means you're Classy.
Could you please write a post on the proper method of decanting a box?
Thank you.
Signed: I'd rather have beer
so, what are/is grits? lol ... i think its just an American thing... i've deciphered that it likely means carbs, which always means delicious. lol
and good on ya for your box of wine!
Weird... You're one of those people that has food in their fridge.
You probably have some in a cupboard somewhere, too, don't you?
And you buy ingredients you can cook with and end up with something edible instead a bunch of inedible parts and pieces that rot away.
I can't even imagine...
mmmm, that looks delicious. you could tell me that it was mayonnaise-coated cat food and i would still want to give it a try.
Someone else with a cheese drawer!
You're the best.
Damn, you are so adventurous! I wouldn't ever in a million years try to cook with grits!
I've always hated grits, but that's the tastiest looking nasty stuff I've ever seen. : ))
I've never ever had grits.
Get thee to Seattle at once and fixeth this for me.

Oh holy happiness, pinch me now cuz I must be dreaming.
What a lucky man, that Mr of yours.
I'm usually not big on grits, but that looks damn tasty.
Yum!!
I love grits (or 'polenta').
I, too, have boxed wine in the fridge.
If I could cook even half as well as you...well, my family wouldn't get so bored with our weekly rotation of: tacos, spaghetti, mac & cheese and tator tot hot dish.
I am in awe of your culinary amazingness. My own particular specialty (and the only thing I can cook exceedingly well every single time - otherwise I am a hit-or-miss mediocre-at-best cook) is grilled cheese sandwiches. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I try to make canned soup to be ready at the *exact same time* as the sandwiches!
Meatballs over polenta? Doh, why didn't I think of that? My two guys thank you from the bottom of their tummies.
It looks great. Next time you have it I'd like an invite.
I did not know that's all I neeed to get better!
drool.....
*salivating* Wow, Whiskey. Amazing.
Also--what boxed wine do you prefer? Since we're being open and honest about our "vin du box" as Bubs calls it.
I could dive right into that plate.
dguzman- I was turned onto Hardy's (Australian) box wine by a wine snob friend of mine. I swear, it's really good- she wouldn't drink crap (though I probably would). I pay about $20 for what is roughly equivalent to 4 bottles.
