bleu and whiney

I'm not myself today.

I just looked in the mirror, and it turns out I'm not Angelina Jolie either, but that's neither here nor there.

It's hot, and humid, and I'm not doing well.
I never do well in this stuff.

I wish I could be one of those people that blossom when the thermometer edges its way over 80 degrees. People that smile when they wake up & hear the weatherman say "It's gonna be another hot one!" gleefully and with more than a smidge of cockiness to hide the fact that his wife doesn't know he's gay...
Ahem.

I am not that person. When I was watching the Weather channel this morning before work (like you never do. You would probably like me to think that you don't pick your nose while you're driving either. Whatever.) I gave Mr. Generic Weatherguy a hearty "FUCK!" when I saw that there's no relief until maybe Monday.

No, indeed, I am not that person.

I'm tired, headache-y, a little blue, and the humidity is making me feel like I am starting to mildew. I'm going to have to start bathing with Tilex if this keeps up.

Maybe the fact that I have to be at work at 7:00 a.m. this month is contributing to the problem.
Maybe the fact that I'm too hot and tired to work out is contributing to the problem.
Maybe the fact that I can't seem to catch a decent night's sleep is contributing to the problem.
Maybe the fact that I can be a real crankyass sometimes, for no real reason, is contributing to the problem.
Maybe I really just don't give a shit and just want to wallow.

I don't know. And I'm too tired and hot to care.

Now that we've got the whine, who's got the cheese?

Maybe me- if this humidity sticks around much longer.

While he wasn't the weatherman in question, he is so very very generically gay.
Nice hair, Sven.

Actually, that made me smile a little...

Yeah humidity does uh suck. I spent my days (when I lived in that kind of weather) basking in the air conditioning.

You could always move to Seattle.
(and hang w/little old me).

Then you'd be screamin to get back to MN where there are actual seasons.

I hate the humidity also, but I LOVE it when it is hot. Love love love it.

I still think Sven Sundgaard is a made-up name. I love how sweetly douchebaggy Sven is.

I just had to Google Image Sven...and my Gaydar totally just went haywire. I actually think I'm gay now. Thanks Sven.

I swore that Sven was a little guy - like a real little person. But I guess I was wrong. I don't loathe him like I did Janie, though. (Ha! I even wrote a post about her!)

Anyway! Sorry you're feeling down. My air conditioning in my car is sucking this year and I'm too cheap to take it in. I love having my windows down while I drive anyway, but just sitting at the stoplights sucks pretty bad.

I'm supposed to go the zoo this weekend. With the whole family. I get crabby with the family. And in the humidity. I hope it at least dries up a little. Or this could be a BAD weekend.

Oh how I've always wanted to be one of those girls that always looks so fresh and lovely in this kind of heat. Instead, I get to be the girl that looks like she spent 20 minutes in the suana fully clothed.

You weather man is named Sven Sungaard? That's awesome.

Oddly enough, I'm not Angelina Jolie either. I thought I was once, but that turned out to be a case of to much smoke and not enough open window. I digress....I too hate opressive, vicious heat. I turn into this bitchy ugly version of myself...well a more bitchy version of myself. My hair does this lovely poodle thing. Makes me want to kill the little short short wearing tweenie boopers at the Wal-Mart.

Is it crazy of me to state that I would rather it be snowy and ten degrees than sunny and 90?

Butrfly Garden said...

Miss Kate - only during the summer. Once the snow falls, you need to say "I just wish it was hot and sunny! I wouldn't even care if it were humid!"

i'm right there with ya, whiskeymarie. try adding in an angry uterus and ginormous cramps. yay. if i manage not to stand on my desk and tell each and every one of these dopeheads i work with what i really think of them, it will be an effing miracle.

I'm not down with the heat so much. Which could present problems with my impending move to Austin, but I think I can deal with the "dry" heat. We'll see. I'd much rather have 60 degrees than 80's.

No cheese. I like whine. Whine is good. That's too bad you don't like hot weather. I love hot weather but I'm a little strange like that. Humidity makes for bad hair so I completely understand.
