I have to work a WHOLE day today- can you believe it?
I know! The inhumanity!
If you weep a little for me, that's o.k. -we all cry sometimes. I cry when I accidentally sleep in so late that I miss breakfast and have to go straight for lunch. That makes me sad.
If you feel the need, I accept sympathy cards- especially ones that have cash and/or gift cards in them.
This sucks- I had forgotten what most of you "employed" folks do all day. It seems my brain has reverted to it's "standby" mode where it focuses on monkeys, squirrels, my cats and what I'm going to drink for dinner.
Damn, Grandma always told me to marry for money instead of love.
I think that old gal was on to something...
I just sent you money. Is that okay?
And a pair of my sweaty socks, just like you keep asking. What's up with that?
You've now worked 1 more day than my wife has this decade. May I use you as an example for her?
If I send you an anniversary card with two black colored people running down the beach but cross them off and all the words and write, "Keep on keepin' On" and paste a picture of a thumbs up - will that make you feel better?
We're having margaritas and watermelon martinis, and banana daiquiris for dessert.
Now get to work Missy.
Work is for suckers who can't skate by on their good looks like I can.
I think I should've listened to your grandma too...where's my house on the beach?
I sent you a card.
It has tears inside, so be careful when you open it.
Grandma never said anything to us. She just sent us crocheted blankets that weighed about 80 lbs. a piece. Wanna trade grandmas?
I, for one, feel very sorry for you. Enduring this "work" thing is hard. Hang in there. It is tough! Especially when you could be home picking out new placements for the washer/dryer table!
Us "employed" folks work very hard all day. You know reading blogs, buying shoes, catching up on celebrity gossip. You know that kind of important stuff.
I do feel for you though because it is a rough life.
I'm going to send you a card with a whole penny in it. Because that's all I have left after all that shoe shopping.
OH the inhumanity!! Lol!! Grandma always told me: "When the bills come in the door, the love goes out the window"
and my personal favorite; "It's just as easy to love a rich man as it is a poor man!" bwaa ha ha ha! So true, Grams, so true...
Speaking of rank . . . did you shower today?
Hate it when grandma is right! Stupid work...gets in the way of sleeping in every day and doing nothing!
Work is a four-letter word.
