Mrs. Sisyphus

My week, now that I'm back to work:
(Yes, I know I need to lay off of the steroids.)

I'm not abandoning you, I'm just busy:
  • working
  • working
  • working
  • managing stress and a hobbled back
  • working
  • working
  • misdirecting my stress at the Mr.
  • wishing I wasn't working
and...
  • working.
I miss you, and if I were there I'd give you a big, sloppy tongue kiss and a nice pat on the bum. Then I might try to hump your leg, but that's neither here nor there.

XO

So how weird of me is it that I dig the pic of you in the eye patch?

So that's something new I found out about myself today.

So tell me, are you back to work yet?

Ok, so we know you don't like to work, but do you like your job?

JUST a pat on the bum?

You can misdirect your stress at my Mr. if you'd like. I haven't had much stress lately and I don't like him to get too comfortable :)

I hate it when work gets in the way of leg humping.

I'm not abandoning YOU either, my bleedin' pirate wench; I'm just WORKING, WORKING, WORKIN, WORKING, WORKING too!

BUT - I DID take time to visit the pirate name generator on your behalf and from now on when you fly the Jolly Roger, you shall be deemed, "Navigatin' Faith Dagger!"

Which is sort of appropriate for you I guess, since you seem to have a fondness for cuttin' yourself (and possibly other scallywags)...though for some reason I thought you had a lousy sense of direction... : )

...which may be why you're always cuttin' yourself.

Now it makes sense.

BTW, I'm "Pirate Barney The Infected."

I'd stay away from me if I were you.

I'm done now.

Seriously.

Benny- I'll try to work it into my wardrobe more often, just for you.

Monkey- No, no I'm not.

Jeannie- I DO like my job quite a bit. The hours are fabulous, the perks are great, and I get to be sort of creative. I just hate having to work in general.

Cal- I'll give you a lttle pinch as well, since you asked.

Suze- Yay!! My Mr. will be thrilled. I went off on him this week about (of all things) the dog's poop schedule. I think I need Xanax.

Embee- If it were up to me it would be all humping, all the time.

Lol- Thanks- I've been working out.

WendyB- You're such a humper-hater. Maybe I could just sniff your butt then?

John- I'm envisioning that "Pirate Barney the Infected" would have both a case of crabs and raging syphilis. But in a good way.
;)

If its neither here nor there, you're not doing it right.

There is always the intimate time that you and the Mr. can share as you and he walk back down the hill to get your rock each day.

Just a suggestion ...

Sisyphus earned his fate by being a complete jerkhole which makes me wonder what you've done to deserve yours? Are you pulling the wings off of flies again?

I always liked that Camus' essay ends with: Still, one must imagine Sysiphus happy. Actually, it always pissed me off. At least Sysiphus had a break once in a while from rolling the stone up hill. Work is all rolling up without the rolling down.

Yikes! I start a new job tomorrow, after being on the hunt for 4 months! I have a feeling I might end up much the same as you...

...may all the blogs survive!

You: stressed , working your arse of and have hobbled back.

Me: stressed , working mine arse off and have a bunyon riddled foot.

Did you know that Baltimore is the Sisyphus capital of the U.S.? Oh wait, that's Syphilis. Never mind...

I hope you're coming up for air soon! I'm guessing you're doing what I'm doing, which is cramming the last of summer and a new semester into one. Busy.

Hey! My Old Germans turned out pretty good. They're really tangy and don't turn sweet unless salted - is that how yours were?

Oh. Mygosh. Laughing my head off. Hope things ease up soon.

I THINK I have just tried to friend you on facebook. Is totally bizarre - was looking for you on facebook - as whiskey Marie - and then facebook suggested a friend (with a totally different name) and I'm SURE it's you. Is it? Was it? Is this comment completely incomprehensible?

I miss you too...work is always getting in the way of writing and reading blogs. Hope you are well and that we will see each other soon.
