The gentle ting-a-ling of the holiday bells...

I love fucked up christmas music, so I just bought this.

In fact, I bought two copies. One for me, one for a hair band loving friend of mine.

I'm all warm and tingly inside from the holiday cheer. Or maybe that's the whiskey starting to kick in- who can say?

I also bought this- an item I am a little less proud of (but still excited to get) for vastly different entertainment value:

(Feel free to click on either of these to go directly to Amazon.com to get your own. You know you want to...)

My favorite holiday CD of all time was the one Mojo Nixon put out, "Horny Holidays." It's genius.

They are both real, and they both will be in my posession in 3-5 business days.

Oh My God, Oh My God... That first one has Danger Danger on it.

Sadly, I have seen half of those bands live in concert back in my misspent youth.

mcgone-I saw most of these bands back in the day too. I need to go order this cd. Thanks for bringing it to my attention WM!

Kenny Rogers as Santa is the scariest thing I have seen in a long, long time.

WOw. I actually really like Skid Row's version of Jingle Bells. Like that one band who rocked out "Wonderful World" for some beer commercial. (I never could find that online.)

Mostly the rest were scary, though. Christmas shouldn't be SCARY.

So... what is the playlist on the Monster Ballads Xmas album?

You'll just have to take a picture of yourself dancing to the new editions of your music collection.

I once saw Kenny Rogers in concert with my mom. I also knew all the words to his music.

Hello, I'm Suzel, and I'm apparently a FREAK.

i love things you can posess in 3-5 business days.

cause posession is 9/10 of the law, as i keep telling tim, who i have owned for many business days.

By the way, when I said - "Oh My God, Oh My God... That first one has Danger Danger on it" the repeated "OMG" was meant to imitate Danger Danger's need to say things twice, not to showcase any possible excitement one might have for a crappy hair band resurfacing on a Christmas compilation CD. They were really about as bad of a hair band as you could ever imagine.

Um, McGone?
Yeah, whatever. We believe you. Totally.

Whatever, whatever.

My, My, My Kenny looks like he escaped the tanning bed just in time. How red is his face?

I have been looking for a Christmas song that came out a few years ago but not knowning the name of it, who sings or knowing only one or two words from the song...well lets just say that doesn't help.

Glad you have some rocking music for Christmas!

Well, I've never been much of a metalhead, but that Kenny/Dolly album looks like gold!

holy shit, I may have to start a REAL war on xmas just so I can stop albums like these from being produced.

I fucking LOVE Dolly Parton. I just heard an interview with her on K102 (stop judging) the other day and thought to myself later that same day "WWDD"?

I'm with Dr. MVM - "Horny Holidays" is totally classic Mojo, and right up there with "The Really Bad Music Show's" Christmas Collection!

Dolly rocks. At one point in my distant Texan past I thought Kenny rocked too. And Juice Newton. I still like Dolly and Juice (who wouldn't like Juice?) but Kenny hasn't fared as well...
